Graduates

Born in Las Vegas but raised in Texas, Dessiah graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with majors in Biology and Psychology. Since graduating, she has worked as a Behavioral Therapist for children with developmental disorders. Dessiah has interests in patient advocacy and hopes to use bioethics to provide safe advancements in genetics. Her passion for genetic counseling centers on the importance of client-counselor connections and broadening the availability of services in underserved communities.
