Thomas is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Duquesne University in 2021 with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Biochemistry. He completed his Master’s in Forensic Science at Duquesne University in 2022. While at Duquesne, Thomas learned about genetic counseling and changed his career path. After graduation, he worked as a clinical laboratory scientist at Revvity Omics, conducting newborn screenings. Thomas hopes to increase representation of underrepresented groups in genetic counseling and be an example to those who come after him.
