Olivia Davir
Olivia is a graduate of Ithaca College with a B.S. in Health Sciences originally from Brooklyn, NY! On campus she worked as a tutor and teaching assistant in Biology and Genetics. She has worked in the Lo Lab at IC using C.elegans to study the correlation between Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and ASD and has previously interned in the Donor Egg Clinic at Weill Cornell-NYP Hospital. A previous WAF Intern at Sarah Lawrence, she is passionate about fostering patient education initiatives, globalizing the GC practice, and creating a more inclusive future for the field of genetics. Recently, she was also published as an anatomical illustrator in a Veterinary Anatomy Textbook and authored a Genetics teaching module that emphasizes the value of diversity is Rare Genetic Disease research and GWAS.
