Confronting Biases and Embracing Intersectionality in Genetic Counseling
Class of 2025 Warren Alpert scholar, Lupita Sanchez, published a critically important piece for NSGC Perspectives entitled, “Confronting Biases and Embracing Intersectionality in Genetic Counseling”.
Lupita is a student at Boston University and a recipient of the AIDGC (Alliance to Increase Diversity in Genetic Counseling) fellowship, funded by the Warren Alpert Foundation. Lupita is a certified bilingual medical interpreter and is interested in bridging the gap between underserved populations and their access to genetic counseling services.
