Lupita Sanchez

Lupita graduated from Wesleyan University, where she received a degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Upon graduation, Lupita relocated to the Boston area to work as a research assistant at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She later transitioned to her role as a genetic testing coordinator at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Lupita is a certified bilingual medical interpreter. She is interested in bridging the gap between underserved populations and their access to genetic counseling services. Lupita’s article is entitled, Confronting Biases and Embracing Intersectionality in Genetic Counseling. (Appendix VIII).
