Isabela is from Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 2024, where she received her B.A. in Microbiology and minored in Spanish. Her passion for genetic counseling grew during her time as a GCA with Geisinger's Department of Developmental Medicine, which gave her the opportunity to work with children and families with developmental differences. 

Isabela has a strong desire to increase awareness and access while minimizing misinformation about genetic counseling to expand the reach this profession has to transforming healthcare for individuals in overlooked communities, alongside her cohorts and future coworkers.
