Graduates

Destini is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Drexel University in 2020, where she majored in biology. As an undergrad, Destini worked as an exhibit educator at the Academy of Natural Sciences. She also interned as a genetics research assistant during her cooperative program and contributed to research on sea turtle nesting habits while studying abroad in Equatorial Guinea. After graduation, Destini spent a year working as a Veterinary Assistant at a non-profit veterinary clinic, then worked as a GCA at Nemours Children’s Hospital. Destini also volunteered with Crisis Text Line as a crisis counselor, and served as a Minds Matter Mentor for high school students during the school year. Her experience with the genetic counseling field has been extremely welcoming and she is excited to be on this journey.
