Ashana Neale
Ashana is originally from St. Catherine, Jamaica. She has split a significant portion of her life between NYC and Miami, FL. She was the Resident Assistant for her college’s newfound multicultural housing, hosting events celebrating the dimensions of diversity. She graduated from Marist College with a B.S. in Biomedical Science. Since then, she has been a cancer GCA, psychosocial rehabilitation worker, and intern with the Black Cancer Genes project. Her cultural background and genetic counseling exposure inspired her passion to remedy the limited access/knowledge of genetic services among minorities. Raised in a reggae-filled home, her innate love of music led her to many creative outlets. In her spare time, she enjoys new experiences, the beach (or any place warm), discovering hidden gems, and much more!
